POSTPARTUM SUPPORT INCLUDES:

Daytime postpartum support is provided in 5-8 hour shifts between 8 am-6 pm.

Rates begin at $40/hr.

  • I provide families with evidence-based information and education about newborn care practices. This includes educating parents on bathing, diapering, cord care, breastfeeding, bottle feeding, and soothing techniques. I help families understand their baby's cues and behaviors, empowering them to become confident caregivers.

  • Sleep deprivation is a significant challenge for new parents. I offer strategies and techniques to encourage healthy sleep habits for both newborns and parents. This includes guidance on establishing a bedtime routine, creating an optimal sleep environment, and promoting healthy sleep patterns to enhance overall well-being.

    Sometimes a postpartum doula will simply hold your baby for contact naps while you sleep or shower. The extra pair of hands often brings sweet relief in those first couple of months.

  • Recognizing that families may need assistance with household tasks during the postpartum period, I lend a helping hand. This can include light housekeeping, meal preparation, laundry, and running errands, allowing parents to focus on their recovery and bonding with their newborn.

  • Breastfeeding can present challenges for many families. I offer guidance and practical support during your breastfeeding journey, such as assisting with proper latch, positioning, and troubleshooting common issues. I also provide information on milk supply, pumping, and safe storage of breast milk. For families bottle feeding, I offer guidance on safe formula preparation and storage, feeding techniques, bottle suggestions and more.

    Bottom line, I support your feeding goals no matter how you choose to feed your baby.
